THE SEDERSTROM SCHOLARSHIPS

In recognizing that disparities exist in postsecondary institution enrollment, enrollment into four-year colleges, and attainment of a bachelor’s degree or higher, and that those disparities are often the result of race and socioeconomic status, the Sederstrom Family Scholarship awards scholarships to students who have committed to continuing their education in spite of the challenges they have faced. Students are awarded based on their commitment to serving their communities, resilience and determination in the face of adversity, and strong recommendations from teachers and administrators.

"Because we know our inaction and inertia will be the inheritance of the next generation,
Our blunders become their burdens

We hope that offering these scholarships let us leave behind a country better than the one we were left with"
